15th May 2019

15-year-old Louis Foster has taken the British Formula 4 championship by storm so far in the opening two rounds of 2019. With six races under his belt, Louis has taken a brilliant three victories in his new surroundings and hopes to continue this form at his home track this weekend.

Thruxton marks a new mission for the Copart UK Limited-sponsored driver, as he aims to continue with his momentous winning form at the UK’s fastest race track.

The 15-year-old arrives at the Hampshire-based circuit with three wins, four podiums, and leads the championship with a 17-point margin over team-mate Sebastian Alvarez.

In the previous rounds at Donington Park, the Double R Racing driver showed that he was a championship contender by winning two of the three races in a tightly contested round at the Midlands circuit.

The Vansdirect-sponsored driver is no stranger to this weekend’s racing venue, having scored a podium finish at Thruxton last year on his way to becoming the Ginetta Junior Championship Rookie Champion.

In his new series, the Lord Wandsworth College pupil can look forward to another exciting weekend of competing with an expected capacity crowd watching all of the racing action.

“I have been delighted with my performance in Formula 4 so far and I’m excited to see if we can continue that at Thruxton. In every race this year I have been getting used to the new car and adapting to it. I have started the season in a really strong way and I am determined that the team and I will do our best to ensure it keeps on being that way.
“Thruxton is a track I know well and is a great track to drive at – it is fast, challenging and always provides plenty of entertainment for the crowds. We’ve seen how close it has been so far and the whole of this year’s grid is only separated by small margins, so it is game on!”

Qualifying will open the British F4 proceedings at 10:00 on Saturday, with the first race at 15:45 that afternoon. The other two races will take place on Sunday at 11:20 and 16:25 respectively.
