Donington Park beckons for Foster

21st October 2020

Fresh from his winning Euroformula Open debut at Spa-Francorchamps, championship contender Louis Foster returns to Donington Park for the penultimate round of the 2020 BRDC British F3 Championship.

Enjoying his first taste of European competition, Louis took an emphatic win in the second race of Euroformula Open’s visit to the Belgian circuit, meaning the Hampshire racer is full of confidence as he continues his BRDC British F3 campaign and heads to Donington Park.

Currently sat third in the championship with 328 points, the Copart-sponsored driver is only 21 points behind the championship leader and has claimed three victories so far this season with a further three podium finishes and four pole positions. Courtesy of his impressive pole position tally, the 17-year-old also heads the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup.

Returning to Donington Park for the series’ third visit of the season, the Poggesi-supported driver will race around the Leicestershire circuit’s 1.957-mile National layout. Donington Park stands as a happy hunting ground for Louis as the scene of two of his three race victories so far this season.

Eager to step back into the Tatuus BF3-020 car and resume his campaign, the Double R racer is looking forward to hitting the track once again.

“I’m feeling really confident heading into the weekend,” Louis said. “I’ve been spurred on by my win in Euroformula Open last weekend and can’t wait to be back in the car again. The championship is incredibly close so there’s a lot to play for. I’ve gone really well so far this season, particularly at Donington, so I’m optimistic as we approach the weekend. The weather looks like it might spring a few surprises as well so it’s going to be interesting!”

Returning to a three-race schedule, the weekend begins with qualifying at 11:15 on Saturday morning, followed by the opening race of the weekend at 14:55. Returning on Sunday, Louis will take to the track for the second race at 11:00 with the final race taking place at 13:55.
