Foster restarts Euroformula title push in Austria

8th September 2021

With just three rounds to go and after a long summer break, Louis Foster returns to action this weekend in Austria with one goal - to take a step closer to the Euroformula Open title.

The CryptoTower Racing Team driver is four points adrift of the points lead in his maiden season in the series and his first racing on the continent. There are just nine races remaining in the 2021 season starting with three at the Red Bull Ring, a short but arduous track south-west of Vienna.

“We’ve had a long break from action, nearly two months, and I’m just eager to get back on track,” said Foster, who is backed by Copart, a global leader in vehicle remarketing and recycling. “Obviously heading to another track I’ve not raced on before will be a challenge, but I’ve got a lot of confidence in the CryptoTower Racing Team and Motopark. “We know our lack of knowledge of the circuits is a disadvantage, but that’s been the case all year and we’re still in the hunt. “I’ve been working hard in the break to make sure I’m physically and mentally prepared for the remainder of the season, to deliver the best possible results for my team, sponsors and myself.”

Foster is one of only two drivers to score pole positions in 2021 and has three wins and four fastest laps to his name across the season so far.

His daring overtakes have been a star factor of his year, and the Red Bull Ring allows big opportunities - especially at the end of the long straight at Turn 3 - to make big moves.
